Question Passenger on an Aprilia SVX5.5

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum, so please bear with me if I slip here and there.

I currently have a Honda CRF450R which I converted to supermoto, and I use both on road and to race with. However with the latest engine mods it became to much for street use and does not have pillion pegs, so I was looking for a good road going bike that still gives me thrills and can take a pillion. I'm between 2 bikes, however I'm sort of leaning more towards the Aprilia SVX 5.5. However I noticed it does not have pillion pegs either.

Has anyone fitted pillion pegs on this bigs, do pillion pegs exist for it.....and the most important question do you suggest putting pillion pegs on it? I live in Malta so distances will be quite short (imagine the island is 26 km long and 13km wide) even if I use it as a daily commuter, but the wife will want to come for a ride (every now and then).

Any advise please.

Thanks,

Reu

(BTW the other bike I am contemplating on is the Ducati EVO SP, only problem is there are no Ducati Dealers on the island and don't think there is a specialized Ducati mechanic)

yes you can get pillion pegs for the sxv aprilia part as well

i fitted them to mine as gf wanted to go on back and i didnt want to keep taking the R6 out

she hadent been on the back of the sxv when i had to take it in for a recall head mechanic was looking at it on the trailer spotted the pegs and said who's the nutter that goes on the back good job she is Georgian and didnt realise what he had just said hahahaha

Gf has been on the back since and it felt just the same to me handeling wise sat on the tank and front wheel up front wheel down she just held on and when she asked if the front wheel came off the ground i just said no i was taking it nice and easy with you on the back dear

I think the sxv has pegs so when you go out with your mate who also has an sxv at least both of us will def get home on 1 of the bikes ;-)

Ouch....that must hurt some SVX owners! Problem solved then.....at least I can take the CRF off the road and dedicated just for the track at 58.5bhp at the rear wheel it was too high strung.
And I can tell the missus that I'm buying a bike for both to enjoy since it has pillion pegs!

Any advise anyone for a prospective new SVX owner? I'm buying new.

Thanks all again for all your wisdom!

Reuben
